Armed with the information provided by our allies in the archives, our main goal was now to track down some of the previous owners of the Talbot (or their descendants). Finding photographs from that period could settle the question of the original colour(s).
We did find photographs, but not the way we expected. Martine had been tipped off by the Automobile Club du Sud-Ouest and contacted François Puytorac of Puytorac Frères, a photography business in Bordeaux. Among the treasures accumulated by several generations of photographers, we found two magnificent prints (dated 1947) of our Talbot T23 Chapron taken during a Concours d’Elegance.
