The first seven pages of the report itself answer the question “Was the car built in 1904?“
The answer is based on the examination of several essential elements of the Chenard & Walcker (engine, gearbox, etc.) from the point of view of the press of the time.
In view of the arguments put forward and described, there is no doubt:
“The car was built in 1905, probably in the second half of the year.”
