As presented by our intermediary-consultant, the car was a “Type G”. The expert’s answer was unequivocal though:
“The car cannot be a Type G. It is more likely to be a Type I, J or L, types which have not been archived by the Mining Department.”
Furthermore, the expert specifies that the 4-speed gearbox is indeed original, whereas the G-Types are only fitted with a 3-speed gearbox. The thesis of a later modification, to which our consultant had clung at the last minute, is therefore refuted.
