A clue forgotten in my yesterday’s post: the date of the invoice from Henri Chapron.
The duplicate of the accompanying letter of this invoice is dated November 17. But the 1947 Paris Salon took place from September 23 to October 5. The date of the invoice is thus coherent with the date of the Show.
Incidentally, we note that the total price of the vehicle is 925,000 francs, which is about 7 years of salary for a Parisian worker at the time (ref: here)
