Fall is here and the maintenance season is starting. Our cars have been driven quite a bit during the nice days and we decided to revise the clutches of two of them: the Delahaye 135M Cabriolet Grand Luxe Chapron and the Delahaye 135MS Coupé Grand Luxe Chapron.
Both cars are from the same year and therefore very similar.
Our goal is to change the thrust bearings and to have a look at the mechanisms.
First, we have to uncouple the Cotal gearbox: 60 kg. Then we will disassemble the mechanisms to access the essential parts.
Of course, we ordered two bearings from Club Delahaye.
This work had to be done before putting the two Delahayes up for sale in Soft Auctions and this is one reason why we have postponed the end of the sale dates.
