The engine restoration is on track

Reminder: the motor of the Rochet-Schneider 26-Six is being rebuilt. To read the full story start here: Is the flywheel involved?

The engine restoration progressed according to the expected schedule.

Following actions have been completed in August:

– the engine block was stripped and repainted
– the crankshaft has been polished (it was in good condition)
– the work on the remanufacturing of the rods big end lining is almost finished

Finally, the aluminium expected for the remanufacturing of the pistons should arrive within ten days. This was a blocking point.

We should be soon able to have a schedule for the end of the work.
