N°177484 Coupé Bertone – 1962
First presented in 1957 “Salone dell’Automobile di Torino”, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale streamlined bodywork is an iconic classic Alfa Romeo.
The Giulietta SS was inspired from the BAT “ Berlinetta Aerodinamica Tecnica” experimentation – an aerodynamic project from Alfa Romeo and Bertone design studio, lead by the chief designer Franco Scaglione. After the dramatic styling exercise BAT5, BAT 7 and BAT 9 – the less extravagant but nonetheless sensational “Sprint Spinta” prototype was born and presented as the “Sprint Speciale” in 1957 in Turin.
The coupé Bertone 177484 has had only three owners since 1962. It has always been remarkably well maintained and its bodywork was in superb condition when it entered the JWA Classic Collection in 2019.
It still had its special custom-made suitcases.
Nevertheless, a complete restoration has been undertaken. See details below.
It is equipped with a short rear axle which makes it very fun to drive. To date, it has only a few hundred kilometers on the odometer and is in a very close to new condition, or even better.

Restoration
A complete restoration has been undertaken in 2019.
The engine has been rebuilt as new as well as all the mechanics and the interior upholstery has been refurbished by specialized workshops in Italy.
Absolutely all parts were dismantled, cleaned, restored or replaced.
The windshield was changed as well as the rear window.
